January in Nebraska is seldom witness to four days where high temperatures exceed 50 degrees. January went out with a wonderful 59 degree high temp on the last day of the month, after setting a record high on January 22nd of 60 degrees. Keep in mind January also brought us six nights where lows hit zero or below. One of my favorite local websites is the… Continue

Every Nebraska fan should be as fortunate as I was to be at Friday's Front Row sports bar in Orlando, Florida on game day. On Saturday I was not happy to be working out-of-town with a home… Continue

The ghosts and goblins (and some not so scary) were out last night in large number due to a very pleasant evening. Lincoln finished October with a 74-degree high temperature. I'll miss October.Added by Lincbug on November 1, 2008 at 8:30am — No Comments
Today was one of those beautiful fall days that we don't get every year. I enjoy golf and play on Thursday nights whenever I can. Tonight was probably the last night for Thursday golf as the warm weather wanes and darkness comes an hour earlier next week. (On March 8 we turn the clocks ahead one h… Continue

As part of our Washington trip, we took in a ball game in Baltimore on Monday night. It was a small crowd at Camden Yard, but we enjoyed seeing the Tampa Rays who are headed for the playoffs and with luck the World Series. Continue

My Dad and I traveled to Washington D.C. this past weekend. I visit the city every year on business, but rarely get a chance to sightsee, so it was a fun trip for me. Dad hasn't been there for 35 years, so we took in all the sights. Very scenic city full of history. Continue

Make it 3-0, after a 38-7 win against New Mexico State, however the tough games now lineup one after another. Winning one of the next three -- either Virginia Tech, Missouri or Texas Tech -- would make it a great year and would likely take the Huskers to post-season play. Continue
